The Neil Adler Report! :o)
Long time SlideMeister member, Neil Adler just returned from his trip to Germany. Below, we have a picture and video tour of the C.A. Seydel Söhne factory in Klingenthal, Germany. Neil also went to the "Toots Thielemans' 100th birthday celebration, (by special invitation - which is actually pretty cool ;o) where he conducted seminars discussing all the cool stuff about our favourite little instrument AND also the Patron Saint of "Jazz Chromaticizm ," the late - great Mr. Toots Theilemans Here we will make all the pictures and videos (in chronological order) of Neil's trip available for viewing and even downloads
Here's a video library; none are these are very long (most less than a minute) but an interesting look into what looks to be a very "old-world type, hands-on" company. I must say, the care taken in putting these instruments together makes Seydel seem more like a "mom and pop" operation that actually stood the test of time, instead of just another "mass-production" enterprise.
