HOW TO ACTUALLY JOIN ;o)
Note: The new SlideMeister forum located at: _________
now accepting new "supporting" members.

SlideMeister Forum is a "web intensive" forum for web intensive Chromatic players, and as such, there are reasons to join us, as well as reasons not to. 😉

Note: Sorry, but the NON-SUPPORTING MEMBER option has been discontinued on the new forum 🥲
HOW TO ACTUALLY JOIN ;o)

                                                                                          Supporting Member

"Familiarity breeds contempt"  and "abundance encourages complacency." (I made that second one up myself🙂)  A rich man won't even bend over to pick up a penny when it falls, but a beggar looks for them all day. What's the difference between the two?  Selah!  Turns out we, as a species, hold free stuff in minimal esteem. That's just one of the four reasons I decided to charge a fee to be a member of the new forum.  It would take a whole page to "preach" the whole message so we're just gunna leave it at that.

Yes, there  are a few requirements to join our group, but most are just to insure that neither you nor SlideMeister are wasting each other's time. In the past, folks have joined us on a whim, and six months later, we see that they've never even signed in one time, so I just kicked those folks out; we don't really need them.  This is not just another "Harp group" this is  still SlideMeister. Yeah, we're still a little crazy, but I'm also serious about who we allow into the asylum. 🤪

                                                                                           Now

As a Supporting SlideMeister Member, depending on the designation level you choose. you get: check it out here

Reasons to be a participating, Supporting Member include:

  • Wanting to actually talk and communicate with folks about Chromatic harmonicas.
  • Wanting to make friends and getting to know "like-minded" Chromatic players around the world.
  • Wanting to actually help other Chromatic players.
  • Wanting to be an active part of the international Chromatic community.
  • Wanting to further and promote the Chromatic harmonica.
  • Wanting to share videos, photos, midis events, sound files, even jokes and stupid stuff.

While definitely not a requirement, it kinda helps if:

  • You're an "entry level,"  spontaneous personality
  • You are willing to learn
  • You are willing to share
  • You don't always have to be right
  • You can respect / accept the personal opinions of others
  • You don't think you are the final authority
  • You don't think you are the best (FTR, no one's the best)
  • You aren't looking to be "offended" (we don't do "woke" here)
  • Don't have any political biases that can't be left outside the door
  • You have at least an entry-level sense of humor 😉

                                                             and:

  • You can carry on a conversation without being abrasive
  • You can carry on a conversation without getting political or religious
  • You can carry on a conversation without being lewd, vulgar or disrespectful
  • You can carry on a conversation without being mean, disrespectful or condescending
  • You can carry on a conversation without a superiority complex
  • You believe that its always possible to actually learn something from another player

Just reading some of the posts on either the old or new forum, will show who we are, so we encourage you to do so before making a decision on whether or not to join our little community.🙂 We're happy to answer any questions.
