SlideMeister's weekly Zoom meetings ("Zoomers" for short) are a pretty interesting deal. We've been doing them for three years already and they're always educational, beneficial, informative and a lotta fun. So far, we've had as few as eight and as many as twenty-two participants, but I'm expecting that to grow real soon. Everyone gets a chance to play (but only if they want to) There's never any pressure, and you don't have to wait till you're "good enough." Heck , we even try playing stuff we don't even know. (seeing the better players making mistakes really has a way of taking the pressure off) Like I've said it a million times, (besides "don't exaggerate!" and "you ain't that good anyway") It ain't a performance! Just show up and have fun.
There's not much to getting into a Zoom meeting (just click the orange button back there on the home page) Our participants are designation holders/ supporting members, but in essence, anyone can try us out as a guest. We've never kicked anyone out yet.
While we on the subject, can you get thrown out? Sure! Just show up and act like a jerk; just like our forum, the SlideMeister Zoomer is a happy place. We have beginners, and even pros that show up, but no show-offs. Everyone is there just to hob-knob, play and have a good time. Some meetings are almost all playing and others are more like "workshops," and we never know till we all get together.
There are a few basic things that you should do beforehand (if you are unfamiliar with ZOOM) and a quick click on the contact button will get you in touch with me, and I'll set up a quick one-on-one with you, where we can spend a couple minutes to make sure you can step right in and join the fun. With just a few things to remember, Zooming is even easy enough for folks who can't even find the "any" key. 😉
