Harry Nilsson takes you back . . . But doesn't mention Christmas in the lyric!

Long a-go, far  a-   way,

-6*  -8   -6*     -6     -9*   -9*
life was clear; close your eyes...

"Re-mem-ber" is  a   place from long a - go;

"Re-mem-ber", filled with ev'-ry-thing you know.

Re-mem-ber, when you're sad and feel-in’ down;

Remember, your task is to make this sound as legato as possible--not easy, as it's in E.
I find that it's easier to do that on a bebop tuned horn, using the Bb blow note with the button helps you keep the button in on much of this tune.
Also, this is better in the lower octave available on a tenor or a 14 or 16 hole instrument.
Dream . . .

 Great job Gary, the site has been down for me since early this morning, or would have replied quicker. This is another melting little song, on one of the few 'Harry' albums i DON'T have, so very much appreciated, how you get those curly falsetto notes tabbed so easily(?) defeats me. It really is a touching little song , some one said on the video comments words to the effect, ' beautiful song , but i can only listen when feeling brave '     :'(     :).
           Had a quick go, this may turn out VERY nice, there is scope for individual interpretation and a few flourishes, there is another song somewhere in a crevice, ( can't get it out), that i distantly hear blending with this one.
             Your asterisks were a bit drunk Gary or............  :)

Yes, this is a song that can stir up emotion, but I am going around singing it everywhere, so it gets easier to stop sobbing  :'( It's hard to hold those high notes when you are choked up.  :P ::)
It might not be perfect, but it's there--corrections are welcome, just copy and paste.
Harry is such a champ at this thing, "between a smile and a teardrop", just right for the chrom. There is a song called "Think About Your Troubles", it is part of the music for "The Point".
Really gotta do it on a low harp tho, otherwise it's too strident.

It is worth mentioning that there is a website with lots of Harry's stuff on it--here is the tune I mentioned, from a TV clip. It's at 2:17 . . .

Don't miss the part at 5:17 . . .

 Got back eventually Gary ( been backwards and forwards to hospital past two or three days for check ups and tests for shortage of breath, all clear so far).
          FASCINATING, thanks, what can you say ? Yours was the best word UNIQUE.

Be well--
I just got Son of Schmilsson from eBay, great stuff--this tune is on the album, it's Nicky Hopkins playing piano--he sounds so good!

The movie is weird--the album the song first appeared on is weird (Son of Schmilsson)--and Harry Nilsson was weird.
But no, this song is sweet and sentimental and straightforward, nothing weird about it.

Agreed.
Whoops, I was wrong--see attached--it's from a track on Son of Schmilsson.
Harry's sense of humor was sometimes taken wrong . . . to quote from another song on this album that was widely misunderstood, "All I wanna do is to have a good time, now I'm blue."
