New greetings from Georgia USA
Cooker:
Hello all. My last name is Cook, thus the name Cooker. I was given a Hohner 64 Chromonica after being asked what I'd like for my birthday. It was really unexpected. That's been several years ago. It wasn't until recently I began to get it out more often. One thing led to another and eventually led to this site! Very cool! I play keyboards, read and know theory pretty well. But my days of lugging digital pianos and keyboards around are getting old! Bulky, heavy, etc. I've joked about learning the flute or the idiotic noisemaker to lighten my load, but I think the chromatic is going to be just fine. :) It may be a while to coordinate and navigate freely around this 16 holer before I'm able to really gig with it but I certainly plan to. I'm already considering a 12 holer, eg SCX 48 or a Seydel. Any thoughts?
I want to say thanks to all of you now. Your comments/conversations are inspiring, educational and show that there is a real sense of community here. I did read the agreements :), kick the tires (for a very short while) before joining and learned a lot in the process. I appreciate it. Be well!

Welcome!
You're off to a good start The two you mentioned are excellent choices (I would presonally lean toward the SCX 56 but that's just me 8) ) You'll like whatever you end up with. ;)

Ya can't go "rong" if ya listen to two different guys who use two initials for their first names! ha ha !
The SCX-56 is a great little axe! I call it "The poor Man's MeisterKlasse" (FYI The MeisterKlasse is a $600+ Hohner)
