One of my favorites.
best vocal version: Marty Robbins
best instrumental: Shadows
original version: Burl Ives
acceptable version: Ventures
unacceptable version: Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash
"     "     "     "     "    : Debbie Harry

The Sgro bros. may do this tune at Dallas. It is one of their better ones.

Maybe not. Gene Autry might pass. I know that Vaughn Monroe does. Vaughn played this tune once... and was paid 1000 dollars. I have played this tune 1000 times....and I haven't made a dime on it yet........bada bing.

I did a recording of "Ghost Riders" for the Sons of the Pioneers... Talk about great guitar players!

Great line, some-joe! Reminds me of, "Jazz musicians play a thousand chords in front of three people and rock musicians play three chords in front of a thousand people."
The song, though, eludes me. Never heard it!  ;)

True name Bluesy is:  "Riders in the Sky" by Stan Jones in Gm. Check out the version by the Shadows on you tube.

Joey dislikes Vaughn Monroe so he won't even mention him! ha ha !
The greatest satisfaction, is laying a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at you.
