10. Where would want to go?
« on: November 28, 2011, 06:17:09 PM »
Time and finances aside, if you could visit, "hobnob"  and play/jam with other Chromatic players in another country, what would that country be, and as an optional question; why? (be sure to name your present country)

I live in the US, and while I really love Australia and would need very little excuse to go back, there are so few Chromatic players there, so for me, Germany sounds like a good place to start. There seems to be a lot of talent there. There are plenty of others, but Germany seems like a good place to start of by visiting some harmonica factories too.

I think Brazil might be a good place to go!

This is taking a lot for granted Age. There are several people whom I would cherish playing with, but the question IS: would THEY be willing to accept ME, and more importantly, would I measure up enough to the point whereas I wouldn't drag them down.

As to the locale, I think Netherlands, France, Germany, Brasil, California...might be a good start.

I get play/hobnob right here: Garden State, SPAH. From Vermont, those are other countries. ;D

Beyond that, perhaps Asia. I'd like to hear them in person.

Famous I don't know about. It's hard to be famous and alive. I just want to play music every day and hear someone say, 'Thanks, that was great, here's some money, same time tomorrow, okay?' -- Terry Pratchett, Soul Music

Hello, Hobb-Nobbers.

I've played harmonica in the USA (my home), Mexico, Jamaica, Canada, Germany, France, Austria and Hungary.

I'd like to play the harp in Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Ireland.

After that's done, ask again.

Best regards

My Hohner 48 Chord Harmonica was free, so that's why I bought it.

NorCal - the Bay Area, specifically. There seem to be quite a few quality players in that general vicinity; not so many here in Sandy Eggo (only Gnarly!)
